McHenry Golf Club enjoys a reputation of being one of the finest golf courses in Northern Illinois. The challenging design of our perfectly manicured course winds through a park-like setting of rolling fairways lined with mature trees. The natural rolling terrain, elevation changes, and small-fast greens create a unique playing experience that will test golfers of all skill levels.

Condition and playability is the top priority of Course Superintendent, Kayle Dellert. In addition to maintaining the beauty of the course, Kayle and his staff work to create some of the best putting surfaces in the Chicagoland area. The combination of subtle undulation and tilt, with typical green speeds ranging from 10.0 to 12.0 stimps, gives a whole new meaning to "the short game".

In recent years, McHenry Golf Club opened its state of the art Learning Center. This facility includes a large bent grass tee area plus multiple bent grass target greens to provide accurate feedback as your golf balls land on the green. McHenry Golf Club’s practice facility is one of the best in Illinois, making instruction or just warming up a great experience for everyone.

A fully equipped “ProShop” is available to meet your equipment, clothing, and instructional needs. The McHenry Golf Club PGA Pros plan and coordinate a full-season of men’s, ladies, singles, couples, social golf, and competitive tournaments… plus a junior golf program that targets youth up to the age of 16.
