Since 1922, McHenry Golf Club has been a place where history, tradition, and camaraderie create an exceptional private club experience. Originally a nine-hole course, it expanded to 18 holes by 1926 and has remained one of Chicagoland’s premier golf clubs, with continuous improvements ensuring pristine playing conditions.

Beyond the fairways, our clubhouse has evolved from a small structure built in a day to a stunning facility overlooking the Fox River, offering breathtaking views and a welcoming space for members to gather.

Our club also holds a unique place in golf history. From our first professional, Harry Morris, to Vale Adams and his son Gary V. Adams, who revolutionized the game by developing the first metal wood and founding TaylorMade Golf, McHenry Golf Club has been home to pioneers of the sport.

Today, we remain committed to providing a premier golf and social experience while preserving our storied legacy. Whether you’re here for championship golf, memorable gatherings, or a sense of belonging, we invite you to be part of our tradition.

For more information or to schedule a tour, please reach out—we’d love to welcome you.

Sincerely,

McHenry Golf Club Management Team
